tito ortizJacob Christopher "Tito" Ortiz born on the 23rd of January, 1975) is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently a Combate Americas promotee. Ortiz is most well-known for his time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in which, as a former Light Heavyweight Champion from April 14th, 2000 until September 26 2003, he held that title from September 26 2003 until September 14 in 2003. He was a pioneer of the sport alongside fighters like Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell. Ortiz became the top pay per view draw in 2006 thanks to his fights with Forrest Griffin, Ken Shamrock Ortiz and Liddell.
