She was originally a professional model and actress. Once she became famous internationally her acting career began. In 1995 she began performing with Baywatch Nights. She has also done voice-overs and recorded her voice for the animated versions of the movie Batman Beyond Return of the Joker. Harmon took the decision in early 2000s to only work on movies, and to stop performing for TV series.
